Blind Dates

Oh, I forgot the reason for the latest poll on the right. Anyway, a friend of mine has been on a blind date fringe lately. He went on three blind dates in three consecutive weeks and here are the results:

Date 1:
She has not been to more than three states all her life.
She only listens to one genre of music and does not even know what classical is.
She doesn't watch movies on DVD or at the theatres.
She doesn't watch TV at all.

Date 2:
She's been to seminary.
She's a minister.
She believes all religions lead to heaven and hell is a temporay holding place.

Date 3:
She has a box that filters out all the curse words on TV.
She only watches Disney animated movies.

Speaking of extremes but at least he's in line with the start of baseball, 0 for 3.

Might be time for your friend to think about who he's hanging out with....if friends are doing this to him, mebbe he needs new friends?

Yourself excepted, I'd guess or hope. :^)

I think that being Christian and being Single is like being a dwarf. People assume that because you are a single Christian female and they know a single Christian male that it must be destiny. There are apparently no other distinguishing factors in pairing you up for dates. Do i sound bitter??? hmmmmmmm

Hmn, sounds like you have had some very interesting or uninteresting setups:o) Also just cuz you're single people think there's something wrong with you. It's like I know a good amnt of Christian marriages that are in terrible shape or have gotten divorces.

To continue from previous, so why should I get married unhappily? I rather wait and have a great marriage. Oh, and welcome back as I thought you dropped of the face of the earth.

i think there's always something to make you not quite feel complete and a spouse is an obvious biggie, but even a lot of Christians get wrapped up in the deception that we were meant to be fully known and completed by a person, when the only "person" who can do that is Jesus. i'd rather be single and want to get married than to be married and wish to be single...

and..........Yes, I have had some "interesting" dates... i tried the internet dating thing a few times and it was fun, but i did meet a few freaks too - harmless - but hilarious to think about now... i have been accused of serial dating, but i'm pretty settled down now.
