A stay-at-home mom: $138,095

According to this article:
That's the figure in a report by Salary.com, which calculates the wages that would have been paid a stay-at-home mom in 2007 if she were compensated for all the elements of her "job." That total is up 3% from 2006's salary of $134,121.

Mom works multiple jobs and rarely gets a break from the action, working an average of 52 hours of overtime...According to the Salary.com survey, stay-at-home moms work a 92-hour week, with more than half the workweek spent in overtime.

Wow! I'm definitely going to look for a stay-at-home mom to be.

Yes, it beats the woman liberation effort where a career woman is better than one who stays @ home and take care of kids. How many career women do we know that make over $138k a year?

In addition, raising kids at home has a lot more value. Of course, there are those who have to work to keep the family survive which is a diff story. However, I know of two parent incomes where both make so much money that they put their kids in child care when they don't need to.

Honestly, moms are worth more than any $$$ amount. I have been blessed with an amazing mother, and she has really led me through life and taught me some of the most foundational principles to live on. There can't be any monetary value placed on mothers, in my opinion.

But 138 thousand dollars a year isn't bad, anyways. :D
