Activists want chimp declared a 'person'

From this article:
In a case that could set a global legal precedent for granting basic rights to apes, animal rights advocates are seeking to get the 26-year-old male chimpanzee legally declared a "person." Our main argument is that Hiasl is a person and has basic legal rights," said a Vienna animal rights group.
---------
You know we live in an insane world when something like this happens and at the same time there are millions of babies in wombs that are being aborted every year legally. Since this is in Vienna, I'm sure they have more liberal laws in abortion and other things. Therefore, I would say if the animal is suffering as the group claims, then it should be put to death under the right to die law.

I am not too surpised. In Australia, there was a human exbition directly next to a chimpanzee cage.

The belief in evolution has so many underlying consequences, including insane stuff like this. People don't realize what equivocating our existence to that of any other animal really entales.

Is there some way we can just divide the world up into different zones. Get all the people who have this kind of mindset and just ship them off some place where they can revel in their lunacy. Maybe Greenland, and if that's not enough space, throw in Iceland. Once we've cleared out the liberal bozos in the U.S., we can invite sane people from all over the world to come live with us in America.

I think we should grant them their wishes, in this case, put the people in a zoo w/ all the chimps.
