1.25 mill abortions/yr
According to this
msnbc article, there are 1.25 million abortions performed annually in the U.S. This is PER YEAR! My question is how is it that we as a nation are concerned about saving lives in Africa due to AIDS and hunger yet we willingly choose to destroy our own? I mean if we hear that 1.25 million of children are being slaughtered annually in the Congo/Zaire, all of us would be outraged. May God have mercy on us.

Well, you're comparing apples to oranges in their minds... to them these are not children, so of course you're not killing any person, child, or baby. You are disposing of an inconvenience.
It's horrific, but don't forget that the death toll is 20% lower than it was during the Reagan administration (1.5 million annually or so). Over 85% of counties do not have abortionists, either full or part-time, and several states are almost rid of this pestilence.
Chip in a few scheckels for CareNet or your local crisis pregnancy center if you're not doing so already. Help kids understand how precious their sexuality is and why it should be kept for marriage. Work for this, and we're going to see a lot of abortuaria closing in the next few years.
Really? Wow I didn't know that. So what does that say about the Reagan years? Was it due to laws or just that we are better @ educating people now?
Can't really blame Reagan; it was just as high for Carter. What is says, IMO, is that we had a sexual revolution in the 1960s and we experienced its bitter fruits in the 1970s, 1980s, and on through today in the form of aborticide, STDs, divorce, and so on. It'll take a lot of work and love to turn it back.
(aren't you glad you've got some geezers commenting on your weblog? ) :^)
If I was a liberal, I would definitely blame it on Reagan and Carter for this but a liberal wouldn't do such an "absurd" thing.
Yes, glad to have geezers like you commenting but not all geezers are well read and thought as you. My regular contributors like Palm Boy & Rabenstranger are bright as well. They are younger which gives us hope for the future.
