Just when you think things can't get more impersonal, RadioShack Fires 400 Employees by E-Mail. See article. Then I have read articles where people break up relationships over email. What's next? Getting a pdf certificate of divorce over the net?

It turns out that in Malaysia and some other Muslim nations, a text message on one's cell phone does the trick for divorce. No, I am not making this up.
I heard about a company that pulled a fire drill, fired employees and wouldn't allow them back into the building.
That is sad! Sometimes I wish life could be less impersonal. I like the small town I live in where I know a ton of people!
Michael, as far as I'm concerned, you're banned from this blog for life...and don't expect any further communication from me from now on. BTW, is your blog like on a permanent vacation or what?
Ya know, I thought this was a perfectly acceptable way to lay someone off. Just like a letter, except faster.
