Is the Koran Dangerous?

From this article:
LONDON - Brothers arrested in Pakistan and England emerged Saturday as key figures in a suspected plot to destroy U.S.-bound aircraft during flight, while prominent Muslims in Britain accused the government of encouraging extremism through its foreign policy.

Taking this logic, the aggressor/criminal now becomes the victim. Let's take a look at the current conflict in the Middle East. Israel decided to w/draw from Lebanon in 2000 to make peace and the result was Hezbollah importing tens of thousands of rockets then attacking Israel. So we make peace w/ the Islamic terrorists, and they continue to make plans to attack the peacemaker. We then have policies to protect us as a result of their cowardly aggression and they blame us. They have simply proven that logic doesn't work for them and the only way to stop them is to track them down.

The Koran despite what Muslim leaders tell you is not a peaceful teaching. It calls for them to kill all infidels so whether we are out of Saudi Arabia, stop our support for Israel, or w/ draw from all Muslim lands, they will still find a reason to attack us because they are following the Koran.

The Koran is no more dangerous then a newspaper. Its a collections of writting, and how you use that writting comes down to the person, not he book.

The words of the Koran do advocate violence and urge Moselms to armed struggle and genocide.

It's kind of like Mein Kampf, Mohammed Edition.

See this article. It seems like there are diff versions of the Koran out there. The one distributed by the Saudi govt does tell people to kill the infidels, Jews and Christians, and that Muslim lives are worth twice of non-Muslims. So yeah, Saudi is supposedly our friend yet they keep teaching their kids to kill us, a "Christian" nation, and we wonder why we were surprised that most of the 911 hijackers came from Saudi.

The Koran is a holy book of a false religion. It stands contrary to God and His inspired and infallible Word. It is dangerous in the sense that it is a tool in Satan's arsenal to use against God's people. Christ said,

"If your not for me, your against me."

I've read portions of the Koran, in an edition/translation that claimed that they had finally gotten a decent one. In Malaysia, there is apparently a Muslim version of the "Gideons" that puts them in hotel rooms.

And yes, within about 10 minutes, I found incitement to war in the "sura" called "the war".

There are certainly complexities of Muslim theology that "temper" the impact of these passages, but the fact is that they do exist. We would do well to understand that.

David makes a very good point. This not only applies to the Koran but everything like movies, music, books, and our lives.

I do not think that we should be fearful of Muslims because not all of them practice as not all "Christians" practice following Christ either.

I would say that we should challenge them on this jihad just like we have been challenged on our belief. Challenging them not in a degrading and hostile way but in an open and honest discussion. Then we can show them Christ and that life means giving to others so that they may have it too for it's the good news.

In the same manner, we should take down what is not truth or things that are contrary to God when it's pronounced publicly. Taking a stance in denouncing falsehood just like taking a stance against racism.
