Survivor: Cook Islands

So did anyone watch the 1st episode of Survivor Cook Islands? If so, did you find yourself naturally leaning toward the team of your ethnicity? For those that are not familiar w/ this latest Mark Burnett production, the teams are divided into four groups of ethnicity, African Americans, Asians, Hispanics, and Whites. If you did naturally cling to your group, does that make you a racist?

Gah. Why does anyone watch this filth???

This entire season is a last gasp to garner ratings by scandal, and it appears to be working

I haven't seen it but I suspect I would naturally root for the white team.

It's basic human psychology to prefer people that are perceived to be like you. It's not racism it's just human nature.

Yes, rooting for a team that's like you is not racists just like rotting for your gender. It becomes racism is when you start to cut down on the other team strictly for who they are.

As to Palm Boy's comment, it is unfortunate that our culture has become one where we try to do the outrageous to get attention. When we do this, then there will come a day where nothing is off limit or insane anymore.

I'm not watching, but am personally rooting for the skeeters, lizards, venomous snakes, and sharks to take as many from all teams and the production crew as possible! :^)
