The Lowest of the Lowlife

According to this article
CASSELBERRY - In January, 1-year-old Joey Cosmillo wandered into the backyard and fell into the family pool. When his mother hauled him out, he wasn't breathing. Rescuers were able to bring him back to life, but he suffered severe brain damage and cannot walk, talk or even swallow.

Now, his family faces another burden: One of the rescuers, Casselberry police Sgt. Andrea Eichhorn, is suing, alleging the family left a puddle of water on the floor that afternoon, causing her to slip and fall.

Andrea Eichhorn's attorney filed: If the Cosmillos had made their pool baby-proof, police would not have been called to the scene, there would have been no water on the floor, and Eichhorn would not have hurt herself.

"It's a situation where the Cosmillos have caused these problems, brought them on themselves, then tried to play the victim," he said."

So the next time you call 911, make sure your entire house is safe proof from hazards, buglars, fire, and whatever danger. So is there a need to dial 911 then?

I never thought any person could sink this low but I am now proven wrong.

I was just commenting today how people in our country were to "sue" happy. But this...

Yes, that is the lowest of low. That makes me so mad.

However, I wouldn't say that this is good evidence against women as cops as a whole. This merely shows that she herself is not suitable as a cop. In my humble opinion of course.

If that's the case, the family could sue the emergency responders for not responding fast enough. And if they had got there faster the puddle of water might not have been there yet and the kid might not be so messed up for the rest of his life.

If a puddle of water is too much for this woman to handle, maybe she needs to live somewhere like Nevada instead of Florida. How did she get to adulthood in Florida if she can't navigate a stinkin' puddle? And isn't a cop supposed to take some risk "to serve and protect"?

Good news; she's dropped the suit, and has been placed on administrative leave.
