The top is Bell Tower, 2nd & 3rd are obvious. 4th down is Tiananmen Square (the largest outside public gathering space and just outside of the Forbidden City). The 5th is the emperors throne inside the Forbidden City. The rest are Forbidden City which is huge! The 2nd to last is Summer Palace, where the emperor goes for vacation, and last is Ming's tombs. I can tell you that the emperors had it made:o)
Nice pics! To me China has always seemed like one of those mythical places that you can't really visit; partially because of the huge difference in culture, but also because of the government. Now I know two people who have gone in the past two years.
I was going to comment before; but got called away. These pics are fantastic Mercy. Did you do any photo editing on them? I'm not a photography expert; but I really like the way the scenes are framed, without any wasted spaces. They look like coffee-table book pics to me. KD
No, these pics are as original as they get. Photography is not a hobby but I do try to take pics w/ what I think it's an original perspective if you will.
The one w/ the great wall, I could have gone to the left or right when I got there. The right side was easier & consequently a lot more people while the right was steeper and less people so I chose the path less traveled hoping that it doesn't look like a tourist trap.
A mystery, a phantom, a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. I'm NOT an anarchist, I like the Guy Fawkes mask cuz we all wear masks to some degree.
