Mexico City vote to legalize abortion

From this article

MEXICO CITY - Mexico City lawmakers voted to legalize abortion Tuesday...The proposal, approved 46-19, with one abstention, will take effect with the expected signing by the city's leftist mayor.

"Decriminalizing abortion is a historic triumph, a triumph of the left," said city legislator Jorge Diaz Cuervo, a leftist social democrat who voted for the bill. "Today, there is a new atmosphere in this city. It is the atmosphere of freedom."

Jorge Diaz Cuervo is right, there is the freedom, freedom to sin further more and away from God. Can anyone expect one who doesn't know God to care about His laws? At the same time, all of us will answer to God one day.

Are you touchy feely?

Here's a really great sermon from Richard Pratt if you are up for the challenge. In other words, it's not touchy feely like your mainstream preachers nowadays. Go here and click on the link, Heaven is Not Our Home.

Playing is Safe

So Dr. Richard Pratt preached at our church this past Sun and every time he preaches, you can hear a pin drop in the sanctuary. I really like him because he does not back down from telling the truth, along w/ John Piper, who are the top two speakers I admire most.

Anyway, Pratt said that Christians can no longer "play it safe". What he means is we cannot keep our Christianity to ourselves and our children and live private Christian lives. We think that this is good by protecting them but in reality while we seclude ourselves from the bad and terrible world, the world is being conquered by Muslims who really think that they can physically take over the earth for Muhammed. Examples are that mosques are going up everywhere in the US, six in Birmingham, AL, and a 40,000 seating mosque is being built in Houston, TX. So if we continue to play it safe, we are risking the future. We need to take risks and venture into this dangerous world so that we can give them hope. The life that the avg evangelical lives is a life about me, me, me. Of course, I was convicted. It is not I that live but Christ who lives in me.

What's A Christian by Anderson Cooper

If you get a chance, watch AC's show this Wed 10PM on CNN. I'd be interested to see what the media's perception is.

As science advances, religion pushes back. Is faith tested? And can prayer trump medicine and heal the sick? "360°" investigates "What is a Christian?" A two-part special starting Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET.
