Feb in FL

Yes, it's Feb in the Central FL area and it's 60-80 degrees. I wish it could be a bit colder but I take this any day over weather like upstate NY where more than 70 inches of snow came.

From this article: Since Sunday, the small towns of Parish and Mexico have recorded more than 6 feet of snow, and forecasters with the National Weather Service say it isn’t over yet.

Can you say BRRRRRR?

Up here in Minnesota, we note that it's not the heat, but the humidity that gets you. :^) (it's about 5F right now in the Twin Cities)

Another fun thought; as I put on my Sorels and "Mad Bomber" hat before walking my dog: "One small step for man, one giant leap..."

You know you're getting used to it when you step outside at 10 below and a sweater and say "this isn't so bad..."

I remember in college going to North Padre Island for spring break; we were in some little town just north of Corpus Christi talking with a mechanic at a gas station.

We mentioned that MN had just broken a record with something like 60 straight days below 32F. He responded that the previous year they had also broken a record with something like 60 straight days over 100.

I think I'd take the MN record any day; although we are right now looking to make a move to Texas, a little further north than that though.

I like a bit of cold and a lot of snow in Winter, but there's a limit. Six feet is overdoing it a bit! As was noted MN is cold as all get out right now. I look forward to some 20 degree days.

I didn't care a whole lot for the movie Fargo; but I did laugh hysterically at one scene. One of the sheriffs and another guy all dressed up in parkas and fur hats standing outside in freezing temps, one of them says--I hear there's a cold front moving in.

For me, cold is cold. From about 20 above to 20 below, it doesn't really matter. The killer is always wind. 0 can be nice, 0 with a wind chill of 30 below is brutal.
