Tony Dungy - A Great Example

As I watched ESPN for post game analysis, all the analysts have great things to say about Dungy. One even emphasized that Dungy's faith has kept him through. He said it's because Dungy has faith in God and he passed it to his team and players. Then I was reading a foxsports.com article and another analyst said similar thing, that Dungy is a full blown Christian...

So congrats to Tony Dungy not only for winning the Super Bowl, but for being a good example like not losing your cool when things don't go well, being humble and showing humility like saying there are many black coaches that opened the door for you today and that those coaches could have made it too if they were given the opportunity. This is indeed a good witness as a follower of Jesus Christ.
-----------
The question that we must ask ourselves is do we act like Christians most of the time?

Tony Dungy epitomizes everything right when talent is combined with character and integrity. We hear far to many stories of pro athletes who have the talent, but completely lack character.

He certainly appears to have his priorities straight. He isn't a football coach who is a Christian on the side. He's a Christian who happens to be a good football coach.

(Oops. It just deleted my long-winded, how the heck are you, thought I'd say hello comment. Sorry.) I drove by two ol' friends from OPC on Sunday, driving down Park Ave. in WP, and then thought of you...

It was good to read up a bit on your thoughts and life. Hope you're well. Peace, Les

I'm not a big sports fan but I can definitely agree that it is encouraging to see folks who have the courage and integrity to live out their faith in the public sphere.
