Mocha-momma and I were at the hospital with my God-daughter (niece) the day the doctor came in and told her she had leukemia. Her parents were both in Las Vegas and couldn't be there with her. I know some of these specialists go through this scenario every day, but I wanted to bust this guy in the chops the way he broke the news.
She had a bone-marrow transplant and chemo; but to no avail. She eventually did pass away at age 25.
I think it was the cure that killed her, not the actual disease. In the end I believe it was liver failure that was the actual cause of death.
May the Holy Spirit be with him in a powerful way through the days and months ahead.
